Nabbit privacy

Nabbit identifies the things in a photograph and finds where to buy them. This describes exactly what that involves, in the order it happens.

Photographs

When you take a shot, the image is sent to our server, and crops of it are sent to the identification and search services listed below. We keep the image and the crops so the result can be shown again in your history and re-priced later.

A shot is private until you share it. Nothing is published, indexed or visible to anyone else unless you tap share, which creates a link with an unguessable address that you can revoke.

Who sees a photograph

To identify an item we send the image or a crop of it to:

• Anthropic — to identify what is in the frame.
• SerpApi and Serper — reverse image and product search, which relay to Google.

They process it to answer our request. We do not sell your photographs, and we do not use them for advertising.

What else we store

• A device identifier, so your history is yours without needing an account.
• What you did with a result — which item you opened, which seller you chose, when you were handed off to buy. This is how we measure whether the app identifies things correctly.
• Corrections you make when a result is wrong. This is the most useful thing we collect and the reason the app improves.
• A notification token, if you allowed notifications — so we can tell you when a slow photo has finished, and ask whether you got what you went to buy.
• Contact and shipping details — name, email, phone, address — only if you save them for checkout.

What we never see

Payment details. Buying happens at the merchant, in their checkout, under their terms. Card numbers never reach us and we have no way to charge you.

We do not collect your location, your contacts, your browsing history outside the app, or health or financial data. There are no advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.

Tracking

We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not share your data with data brokers or advertisers.

Deleting it

Settings → Delete account removes your shots, their photographs, your saved details, your watches, and the judgements recorded against them. It is immediate and it is not recoverable.

Children

Nabbit is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
